The Diamond R. Ranch Story
The Diamond ‘R’ Ranch was established in 1993 with the purchase of 90 acres and is a lifelong love of Ted and Jody Brown.
The first 50 chestnut trees were planted that year with the help of their two elementary-aged daughters. As the farm grew, so did the chestnut tree plantings with the second grove planted in 2000.
Ted and Jody are also beekeepers, producing honey and other bee products. Honey is available with any chestnut order.

For years, chestnuts and honey from the Diamond ‘R’ Ranch were only available to friends and family. Retired, but always working, Ted and Jody now offer their honey and chestnut gift boxes to the general public. We offer wholesale pricing on smaller quantities.
Philosophy - No pesticides or fertilizers
The family decided that once trees were planted, nature would water them and no fertilizer or pesticides would be used. The Diamond R Ranch chestnut trees remain healthy and productive.

Did you know that chestnuts are a lot like eggs? They come in medium-large sizes and large-extra large sizes. We offer them by the pound, priced accordingly.
Harvesting begins in early September and is over by the end of November. Our chestnuts are harvested, sorted and kept in coolers until purchased. Keep yours refrigerated, too!
Bulk pricing is available on chestnut orders over 25 lbs.
